Someone asked me, how I wanted to be in 2025, and here is my response, from a Journalist’s perspective about me in Year – 2025!
I once met a kid who was 11 years old in a village near Vandavasi town in Tamil Nadu, when I was there for an article writing and was amused to see the knowledge the kid possessed on financial management and about his area of interest he wanted to pursue as a career. The discussion with the kid made me feel embarrassed that, even at this stage as an Article writer, I didn’t possess anything closer to his level of knowledge on Financial management.
I postponed my current assignment and continued my conversation with the kid and got to know that there is a person behind this and it is not only him and many other kids around the village who have been groomed in a similar fashion. This made me think that there is something special I am going to do to showcase this world and hence decided to meet the person who has groomed and inspired these kids to know about Financial management and also to have a vision on their area of interest.
Let me introduce Mr. Baran Raju, who is behind educating the kids on how to find their Area of Interest and also to make them aware of the basic financial management, in order to help them become financially independent at a very young age. When interviewed him, we got to know that, Mr. Baran Raju, was working as a Business Analyst in his past and moved on to this village near Vandavasi town in Tamil Nadu, to live a life which we enjoy. He believes that, just like we end up at the starting point in a circle, people have started to realize the importance of our ancestors’ way of living.
He mentioned that, during his career, he had this colleague and they both used to discuss a lot and that is where Mr. Baran has gained a lot of knowledge about Financial management, which he had felt is not taught to us at any stage of our education. He and his colleague always used to discuss creating a corpus of Rs. 5 Cr and then make this money work and earn for you, i.e., creating a Passive income.
Mr. Baran rightly stated that we are working hard to earn money, but with current spending’s, we are not able to save even a penny. That being the case, how to create a corpus of Rs. 5 Cr and make that work for you. So, he decided to quit his job and started to learn about Digital marketing. And during that time, it was the Covid-19 pandemic and everything was to be learned online.
Finally, he got a place to learn about Digital Marketing and from there on he started to do freelancing on Digital marketing, Content writing on websites, Affiliate marketing for his clients and started to earn a good income working from home on his decided timing. All this was possible by the guidance provided to Mr. Baran by Mr. Deepak, who is also called Digital Deepak (https://digitaldeepak.com/) He is also a travel enthusiast and loves to travel to different places by road. He writes about his travel experience on his Blog page and also he earns through the traffic he gets on his Blog page visit.
This decision of doing freelancing has yielded him to get a good income and also to drive towards his vision of creating a corpus amount. Mr. Baran is a follower of Warren Buffett and his vision of making your money to work and earn for you and hence he also possesses a very good knowledge of stock markets and other investment options, through which his money will give him a passive income.
He wanted to share his experience and knowledge and hence, decided to have it shared with kids aging between 9 – 15 years. He believes that is the time, where kids should start to learn about Financial management and also to guide them in identifying their Area of Interest. Apart from these, he also leased out agricultural land in this village and did farming. He enjoys doing farming, is proud of calling himself a farmer more than a Digital marketer.
He specially mentioned, that all these were not possible without the support from his spouse and daughters, to understand his vision and give him the liberty to pursue it. He mentioned that even his family is very much happy with the way of their living, compared to a couple of years ago, where they lived in a Metropolitan city.
I didn’t realize how time went on and even didn’t felt like I had to close the conversation with Mr. Baran. Finally, while ending our conversation, Mr. Baran highlighted that, for all he is now, he still feels not satisfied, as he rightly said, “Success is a journey and not a destination” to end with your approach once you reach your vision or goal.
Yes, I too oblige with that saying and with a fully happy and satisfied heart, said Goodbye and wished Mr. Baran more success on his ongoing Journey.
